Seven commission-only roles,
and what they actually pay

Four pay you for introducing an organization. One pays for introducing an audience. Two pay for introducing people you know one at a time. Both are paid on money actually collected — never on a signup, a signature or a proposal.

What actually predicts success here. Not IT experience — we will teach the product. The people who do well here are self-directed, comfortable being told no, and willing to keep a record of what they hear so it gets better. If you need a manager to set your week, this is the wrong arrangement and we would rather say so now.

Introducing an organization

A congregation, a school, a workforce program, or a business that needs its IT provider audited. These pay ten percent of what the contract collects in its first year, at every size — and one introduction is worth more than a great many individual referrals. Four different rooms, so four different roles: a workforce board and a congregation are not the same conversation and we would rather not pretend otherwise.

Workforce & Employer Partner

Introduce workforce boards, employers and apprenticeship sponsors that train adults into IT roles.

10% of first-year contract value
Who this suits

Someone with real access inside workforce development or employer training — a workforce board consultant, a WIOA or apprenticeship coordinator, an employer’s L&D lead, a union training fund administrator, or a grant writer who works with these budgets.

What you would do
  • Introduce FHG where an organization already has a training budget and a roadmap
  • Know which funding stream applies — WIOA, employer tuition assistance, apprenticeship, Perkins
  • Hand off — we run the seats conversation and the invoicing from there
  • Tell us early when it is not a fit, so nobody wastes a funding cycle
What it pays
40 seats$9,120 contractpays $912
100 seats$22,800 contractpays $2,280
250 seats$56,772 contractpays $5,677

These are adult learners working toward named certifications, so the buyer is a workforce or employer budget rather than an education one. The same ten percent at every size — there is no band where finding a larger client earns you less.

If you work inside the organization doing the buying, say so before anything is agreed. Paying an employee to influence their own employer’s purchase is a conflict in most organizations, and we will not put you in that position without you knowing.

Education Partner

Introduce schools, districts and colleges that need a real IT pathway for students starting from zero.

10% of first-year contract value
Who this suits

Someone inside education — a CTE director, a district technology coordinator, a continuing-education staffer, a school counsellor, or a teacher whose administration listens to them.

What you would do
  • Introduce FHG Compass where a school already wants an IT pathway and has no platform
  • Understand the buying cycle — budgets are set months ahead and mid-year is usually a no
  • Hand off — we run the scope, the seat count and the consent process from there
  • Tell us what the material gets wrong for your students
What it pays
A 30-seat class$6,840 contractpays $684
A 120-seat program$27,360 contractpays $2,736
A 500-seat district$95,808 contractpays $9,580

Compass is built for people starting from nothing, and protections engage automatically when a learner is under 18 — guardian consent before the account exists, no advertising, no third-party tracking, and a published deletion schedule. That is usually the first thing a district asks about and it is already answered.

Education budgets are slower than commercial ones and often annual. A conversation in March about a September start is normal, and we will not push a school to decide faster than its own cycle allows.

Faith & Community Partner

Introduce congregations, ministries and community organizations already running workforce or youth programs.

10% of first-year contract value
Who this suits

Someone with standing in a faith network or a community organization — a ministerial association, a denominational body, a congregation’s workforce or youth ministry, a nonprofit program director.

What you would do
  • Introduce FHG where a congregation or organization is already doing workforce or youth development
  • Work with program leaders rather than pitching from a platform
  • Hand off — we run the seats conversation from there
  • Support the people who enroll, not only the ones who sign up
What it pays
A 20-seat congregation$4,800 contractpays $480
A 60-seat program$13,680 contractpays $1,368
A 200-seat network$45,600 contractpays $4,560

Congregations usually start small — five seats is a real starting point and the block grows. A congregation serving both adults and young people can use Compass and University together, and the seat count is aggregated across both rather than bought twice.

A rule that is not decoration: never use a pastoral relationship as a sales channel. If someone is in your care, they are not a referral opportunity, and if an organization is not a fit, that is a complete answer we would rather hear than a maybe.

Consulting Referral Agent

Introduce businesses that are overpaying their IT provider and have never had it checked.

10% of the collected engagement
Who this suits

Someone who sees a lot of companies’ operating costs — a fractional CFO, a bookkeeper, an insurance broker, an M&A advisor. You make an introduction, not a sale.

What you would do
  • Introduce a business with an outsourced IT provider and roughly 20 to 500 staff
  • Hand off — we run the free exposure check and the free mapping call from there
  • Tell us early when it is not a fit, so nobody wastes a quarter
What it pays
A smaller environment$7,500 engagementpays $750
A mid-size environment$15,000 engagementpays $1,500
A larger environment$25,000 engagementpays $2,500

A fixed-fee audit runs $7,500 to $25,000 depending on the environment. You are paid once we have been paid — not on signature, not on a proposal, on a collected invoice.

There is no fee unless the engagement closes and the invoice clears. We would rather pay less often on real work than more often on introductions that go nowhere.

Introducing an audience

You have people who already listen to you about careers or certifications. Paid per subscriber who stays, at a rate that rises with how many of yours are active.

Creator Partner

You have an audience of people trying to get into IT. Introduce them to a path that is honest about what it does not cover.

$9 per subscriber, per month
Who this suits

Someone with a genuine audience in IT careers, certification study, career change or veteran transition — a channel, a newsletter, a community, a podcast. Size matters less than whether your people trust what you recommend.

What you would do
  • Introduce the platform where it genuinely fits your audience
  • Say plainly what it does not do — no job promises, no placement rates, no certification issued
  • Tell us what your audience asks that we have not answered
What it pays
Every referral who stays$9 / month each$27 over three months

One rate, every referral, no thresholds to cross. Paid monthly for up to three months per person, after their first full billing cycle. Forty active referrals is $360 a month while they are in that window. The way to earn more here is to introduce an organization — that is a partner arrangement at 10% of first-year contract value, and we will talk to you about it.

One complete module is published in full at university.fairleyholdings.com/sample-module — no account, no email. Read it before you decide whether to put your name next to us. We would rather you did.

Introducing people you know

One person at a time, in a community you already belong to. You do not need to deliver an organization to do well at this.

Veteran Community Affiliate

Introduce transitioning service members and veterans, one person at a time.

$9 per referral, per month
Who this suits

Someone already inside veteran transition — a VSO employment officer, a TAP facilitator, a Hire Heroes mentor, a spouse network organiser, or a veteran other veterans come to for advice.

What you would do
  • Introduce FHG University where it genuinely fits — not everywhere
  • Answer what a transitioning member actually asks: how long, how much, does it lead anywhere
  • Tell people plainly when it is not right for them
What it pays
Every referral who stays$9 / month each$27 over three months

You do not need to deliver an organization to start. Forty individuals introduced in your own community earns $360 a month while they are in window — and if you would rather introduce the organization itself, that is a partner arrangement at 10% and we will talk to you about it.

If you are a government employee or work somewhere with rules about accepting referral fees, tell us and we will set you up without one. The platform’s free tier is worth pointing people at whether or not anyone is paid for it.

Bilingual Community Affiliate — Spanish

Introduce Spanish-speaking individuals to IT career training, through the community you are part of.

$9 per referral, per month
Who this suits

A fluent Spanish speaker embedded in a Latino community — a church, a chamber of commerce, a workforce or immigrant-services organization. Community standing matters more than sales experience.

What you would do
  • Introduce the platform through relationships you already hold
  • Explain honestly which certification exams can be sat in Spanish and which cannot
  • Tell us what the material gets wrong for Spanish speakers
What it pays
Every referral who stays$9 / month each$27 over three months

One rate, every referral, no thresholds. Forty active referrals is $360 a month while they are in window. To earn more, introduce an organization — 10% of first-year contract value, and we will talk to you about it.

Stated up front: the material is in English and not every certification exam is offered in Spanish. Where an exam is English-only we say so before anyone pays, and so must you.

Nothing here costs us anything until it has earned something. Partner percentages are paid on a collected invoice, not on a signature or a proposal. Affiliate rates start after a referral’s first full paid billing cycle. That is deliberate on both sides: it means we can afford to pay properly, and nobody is being asked to sell something to someone it does not suit.
You can hold more than one. Someone who introduces a congregation usually knows individuals too, and the arrangements run alongside each other. Say so on the form and we will set both up.
